In My Shoes

Alright, so I'm more than pretty sure that these babies, the newest additions to my wardrobe, will be making their way onto the blog soon enough in many an outfit post. But I figured I'd dedicate a day to talking about them anyways. If only because when this particular style of sneaker first started to surface on the web and around the blogosphere and in magazines -- I hated them. I really couldn't understand the appeal.. the wedge, the velcro.. it all just kinda seemed funky and off, in my eyes. Even the famed Isabel Marant ones that so many bloggers seemed to be obsessing over were making me go.. "huh?!" {right up there with the Jeffrey Campbell Lita shoes, which I still cannot wrap my head around}. But then, slowly but surely, the more I started seeing them in stores, up close, they started growing on me. Then I sorta liked them. Then I started really loving them. Then I had to have them. And so, here we are. It's kinda funny how that can happen, isn't it? For the record, this particular pair is MIA, not Isabel Marant. Have you ever completely changed your mind about something you used to really, really not like?

YES! Those shoes I was completely unsure of. Now I completely dig them although they haven't found their way into my closet yet.

The wedge sneakers are awesome - I love the look but don't have any of my own. I don't think I have the edge to pull them off!
