Today's Friday's Fancies theme on {long distance loving} was a fun one. Because the "color of the year" for 2013 {according to Pantone} is emerald, today's theme is Emerald City! And what better way to celebrate than with a pretty emerald blouse, black skinnies, and leopard print flats? Admittedly this isn't a color I would normally wear, and I don't think I even own much green unless it's a light minty shade, which {as you know} I have only just recently started embracing and obsessing over. But this is such a rich and beautiful color, it's inspiring me to add some more emerald in my life -- if not with a bold blouse, then maybe with simple accessories like emerald-colored jewelry or a scarf. Either way, I think it's a beautiful color and I love the idea of wearing it with some fun animal print and gold jewelry.

oh man those shoes - I had a pair of leopard flats with a gold chain across the toes, and I loved them to death (literally!). wish I had thought to pair them with emerald :)
