This week's Friday's Fancies over at {long distance loving} was a bit tricky. The theme, New Year -- New You, is supposed to reflect my hopes, expectations, and wishes for 2013. After thinking a while about what exactly that is, and how I would create a look to embody that, I finally settled on this. I want to take more chances, to fully embrace any changes or challenges that may come my way, to hold my breath and jump when an opportunity arises. The resulting look is fun, somewhat funky, and different than anything I've put together or worn. While I love stripes and animal print, I tend to shy away from polka dots.. which is exactly why I chose this sweater! The leather skirt is edgy and daring but flirty at the same time, and the coral booties give it that certain je ne sais quoi.
